Short Leads the Golden Wolves at Alvernia’s PLEX Shootout

Reading, Pa (February 3, 2024) - Alvernia University hosted its second home invitational of the season with the PLEX Shootout Saturday at Alvernia University's Flynn PLEX.

The Golden Wolves had six top ten finishes, Jack Short led the Golden Wolves with a second place finish in the 60m and the 4x200m relay recorded a second place finish as well.

13 Golden Wolves recorded personal bests on the day.

Highlights

Jack Short recorded a 2nd place finish in the 60m with a time of 7.08. Short also recorded a career best 7.07 time in his heat where he finished first.
The 4x200m relay team of Short, Anthony Downs, Elisiah Jerome and Luke St.Pierre also recorded a second place finish with a time of 1:33.61.
Luke St.Pierre recorded an eighth place finish in the 60m with a time of 7.29. St.Pierre also recorded a career best time in the 60m in the prelims with a 7.23 time.
Spence Hahn tallied a seventh place finish in the 800m with a time of 2:01.02.
Kameron Dove posted a 1.78m mark in the high jump which earned him a fourth place finish and his 1.78m mark was also a personal best for Dove.
Alexander Whitmer recorded a sixth place finish in the shot put with a 13.94m mark to round out the top ten finishers for the Golden Wolves.
