Hahn, Witmer Take Home All-MAC Honors, Lead Golden Wolves on Final Day of the MAC Championships

Hahn Takes Silver in 800m, Witmer Grabs Bronze in Shot Put

Chester, Pa (May 4, 2024) - Spencer Hahn broke his own record in the 800m en route to a second place finish and Alexander Witmer took third place in the shot put to lead Alvernia University on the final day of the 2024 MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Widener University.

Hahn recorded a time of 1:53.24 in the 800m which broke his own record of 1:53.81 en route to a second place finish. Hahn earned second team All-MAC honors with his second place finish and is Hahn's first All-MAC at the outdoor championships.

Whitmer was the second All-MAC honoree for Alvernia with a 14.58m mark in the shot put that earned him third place. Whitmer also earned his first all-conference honor with a third team All-MAC performance on the final day.

Luke St. Pierre recorded a fourth place finish in the 400m and also recorded a program record with a time of 49.22 that bested his own record of 46.60.

The Men's 4x400m relay team of Hahn, St.Pierre, Zackary Wendel and Elisiah Jerome recorded a podium finish with a fifth place finish and a time of 3:23.69.

Brandon VanSchaick and Anthony Downs both recorded podium finishes with Downs finishing seventh in the 100m with a time of 11.24 and VanSchaick posted a time of 16.36 in the 110m hurdles.

Alvernia is back in action on Monday May 13th for one last chance to qualify for Regionals at the Widener Last Chance meet.
