Reading, Pa. (Dec. 6, 2025) - JT Timmons, Christina Medina, and two Alvernia relay teams took first place to lead the Golden Wolves on Saturday afternoon to lead Alvernia in its 2025-26 season-opener at the Alvernia Rust Buster hosted at the Tom and Helen Flynn Plex.

JT Timmons took first place in the high jump with a mark of 1.90m in his collegiate debut. He then took second place in the triple jump with a mark of 13.01m. First-year Christian Medina took first place in the shot put with a mark of 14.22m.

Grant Sharp took fourth in the weight throw with a personal-record mark of 12.07m, and he followed that with a fifth place performance in the shot put on a mark of 11.87m.

On the track, Joseph Washington Took fifth place in the 60m dash with a personal-record time of 7.33 seconds. Daniel Kirn took ninth in the 60m with a personal-record time of 7.51 seconds. William Dennis also set a new personal-record with a time of 7.93 seconds. 

Alvernia picked up two first place finishes from its relay teams as well. The Men's Distance Medley Relay of Spencer Hahn, Ryan Dennison, James Henry, and Sam Martinez took first with a time of 12:02.15. The 4x200m team of Connor Perez, Joseph Washington, Herebito Camacho, and Daniel Kirn also took first with a time of 1:37.14.

Alvernia has off for the holidays and will return to action on Saturday, January 17 for the Alvernia Winter Invitational.
