Philadelphia, Pa. (Feb. 15, 2025) - Alvernia University Women's Track and Field competed at the Widener Indoor Classic on Saturday, hosted on the campus of the University of Penn.

Mylina Castillo led the way for Alvernia with a tenth place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 10.83m. 

Alvernia's 4x400m relay team of Caitlin Sternberg, Paige Jerrahian, Giavanni Gibson, and Rosnelly Sanchez De Aza took 14th with a time of 4:21.80. 

Both Jerrahian and Sanchez de Aza also posted personal records in the 800m for Alvernia. Sanchez de Aza took 27th with a time of 2:26.47, and Jerrahian took 43rd with a time of 2:30.37. 

Gibson posted Alvernia's final personal-record of the day with a 10.17 mark in the 60m Hurdles. Caitlin Sternberg took 24th in the same event with a time of 9.91 seconds.

Alvernia is off next weekend in preparation for the 2025 MAC Indoor Championship, hosted at Alvernia beginning on February 28th.
