Anyia Leads Alvernia at West Chester Purple & Gold Open

West Chester, Pa (March 22, 2025) - Alvernia University's Britney Anyia recorded a pair of top three finishes to lead the Golden Wolves at the Purple & Gold Open hosted by West Chester Saturday.

Britney Anyia recorded a second place finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.09m and posted a third place finish in the high jump with a 1.47m mark.

Caitlin Sternberg tallied a third place finish in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:12.70 and Rosnelly Sanchez De Aza recorded a sixth place finish in the 400m with a time of 1:04.39.

Alvernia is back in action next weekend when they travel to Widener University for the Danny Curran Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
