Anyia Leads Alvernia at Messiah

Grantham, Pa. (Apr. 12, 2025) - Alvernia Women's Track and Field finished the weekend with five new personal-records and four top-ten finishes at the Messiah Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Britney Anyia led the way for the Golden Wolves, posting two of Alvernia's four top-ten performances. Anyia took seconds in the long jump with a new personal-record mark of 5.51 meters. She then took fourth in the high jump with a mark of 1.46 meters. 

Al'liyah McCloud took eight in the 100m with a season-best time of 13.70 seconds. Elizabeth Kollock took 23rd in the event with a new personal-record time of 14.51 seconds. '

Giavanni Gibson rounded out Alvernia's top-ten finishes with a 10th place mark of 4.73 meters in the long jump.

Alvernia grabbed three more personal-records on the day, all in field events. Mikayla Giuliano posted a 35.10 throw in the hammer for a new personal-record and 15th place finish. Both Gibson and Maria Skulski set new PRs in the javelin. Skulski threw a 24.64 to better her PR by two meters, and Gibson threw a 24.34 for a new PR by over seven meters. 

Men's Track and Field is back in action on Wednesday for the mid-week York College Twilight Meet.
