Golden Wolves Down Aggies, 35-10, On Senior Night

Reading, Pa. (February 9, 2026) - Alvernia University (5-4) recorded five victories by fall en route to the 35-10 victory over Delaware Valley (2-10) Monday night in a MAC women's wrestling dual on Alvernia's Jack McCloskey Court.

Prior to the dual, the Alvernia Women's Wrestling team recognized its 2026 senior class in Nevaeh Blevins and Kathryn Berger. Both Blevins and Berger are four year members of the team and were on the inaugural Alvernia Women's Wrestling team in 2022-2023.

How it Happened
  • The Golden Wolves took a 10-0 lead early after Blevins and Remiah Rivera received forfeits at 103 and 110 pounds respectively.
  • There was a double forfeit at the 117 pound weight class and then Alana Durham tallied a victory by fall over Delaware Valley's Taylor Mazzoni in 2:05 to make it 15-0 Golden Wolves.
  • The Aggies then received a forfeit at the 131 pound weight class to make it 15-5 but the Golden Wolves responded with another pin, this one by Abbigail Kohl over Alex Graffus at 138 pounds to push it to 20-5.
  • Delaware Valley's Kathryn Martin recorded a victory by fall over Kathryn Berger at 145 pounds to make it a 10 point, 20-10, Alvernia lead but the Golden Wolves responded again with another pin. This one came by way of Elizabeth Adebola in 2:40 over Riley Petrie at 160 pounds and made it a 25-10 Alvernia lead.
  • The Golden Wolves then closed out the dual in impressive fashion with Macenzie Hunter and Kayla Maldonado tallying victories by fall in less than 40 seconds. Hunter recorded a pin over Bryann Snedeker in just 38 seconds at 180 pounds and Maldonado followed Hunter with a fall over Kaylee Hudson in just 28 seconds to secure the 35-10 victory over the Aggies.
  • Alvernia's Daisy Rojas then wrestled an 160 pound exhibition against Kaylee Hudson and Rojas came away with a victory by fall in 1:08 to round out the evening.

Up Next
  • The dual marked the end of dual competition for the Golden Wolves for the season. Alvernia is back in action on February 20th and 21st when they travel to West Liberty University in West Liberty, West Virginia for the NCAA Region 2 Regional Tournament with an opportunity to punch their tickets to the National Championships.
