Golden Wolves Take Five Top-Ten Finishes at NYU

New York, NY (Feb. 14, 2026) - Alvernia Men's Track and Field posted five top-ten finishes on Saturday at the NYU Invitational, hosted at The Armory in New York City.

Alvernia's day was highlighted by a pair of third place finishes. Christian Medina took third place in the shot put with a mark of 14.23 meters. Medina took third in the field of 25 athletes. His top throw came on his fourth and final attempt.

Also taking third place was Spencer Hahn on the track. Hahn posted a 1:56.43 for third place and a season-best time. Hahn finished just under a second behind the first place finisher.

Joseph Washington was Alvernia's second and final top-ten finisher on the track. Washington took sixth place in the unseeded 60m with a time of 7.45 seconds.

Both Grant Sharp and Aidan Arnold finished with top-ten finishes in the weight throw. Sharp took seventh place with a personal-record throw of 13.63 meters. Arnold tied his PR with a mark of 13.28 meters to take 10th place. Arnold also set a new PR in the shot put with a mark of 11.44 meters. Andrew LeClair rounded out Alvernia's PR's in the field with a new personal-record mark of 1.75 meters.

Alvernia's afternoon was also highlighted by a trio of personal-records in the 200m open. Washington (23.73 seconds), Heriberto Camacho (24.46 seconds), and William Dennis (26.63 seconds) all set new personal-records in the 200m. Dennis also set a new PR in the 60m with a time of 7.89 seconds.

Alvernia is back in action on Friday, February 20th at Kutztown for its final meet before the 2026 MAC Championship at Alvernia on February 27th and 28th.
