Reading, Pa (February 23, 2024) - Alvernia University's 4,000 DMR team broke a school record and the 4x200m relay team led the Golden Wolves with a fifth place finish to lead the Golden Wolves on day one of 2024 Middle Atlantic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Alvernia at the Flynn PLEX. 

The 4,000 DMR team of Spencer Hahn, James Henry, Zackary Wendel and Kyle Schermerhorn tallied a new Alvernia School Record with a time of 10:45.37. 

Highlights 
 

• The 4,000m DMR team of Spencer Hahn, James Henry, Zackary Wendel and Kyle Schermerhorn recorded an eighth place finish and a time of 10:45.37. 
• The 4x200m relay team of Luke St.Pierre, Jack Short, Andrew Downs and Elisiah Jerome posted a time of 1:32.44 to finish 5th at the Championships. 
• Jack Short tallied a second place finish and a time of 7.09 in his heat for the 60m to punch a ticket into the finals tomorrow. 
• Anthony Downs recorded a fourth place finish in his 60m heat, Caleb Auzenne finished sixth in his heat and Kevin Kazokas finished eighth in his 60m heat. 

Personal Record
 

• Caleb Auzenne tallied a personal best 60m time with a 7.32 time and a sixth place finish in his heat. 
• Giovanni Rivera-Jusino recorded a personal best in the weight throw with a 12.21m mark.
