Chester, Pa. (April 20, 2024) - Alvernia University Men's Track and Field competed at both the Widener University Paul Donahue Invitational and the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational on Saturday in the penultimate weekend of competition prior to the 2024 Outdoor MAC Track and Field Championship.

At Widener, Alvernia's men's team posted seven personal records and three top-ten finishes. At Hopkins/Loyola, all three of Alvernia's athletes posted personal records in each of the six events they competed in. The Golden Wolves also saw two program records fall at Widener.

Highlights and Personal Records

• At Hopkins, Quinn Harter posted personal records in both the 100m and triple jump. Harter ran a 12.78 in the 100m and hit an 11.27m mark in the triple jump.
• At Hopkins, Kevin Kazokas posted personal records in the 100m, 200m, and the long jump. Kazokas ran an 11.68 in the 100m, a 23.74 in the 200m, and hit a mark of 6.10m in the long jump.
• Jacob Ziegler rounded out the personal records for Alvernia at Hopkins with a PR in the 100m on a time of 11.99 seconds.
• At Widener, Luke St. Pierre set a new program record in the 400m with a time of 49.60 seconds to take 12th place. 
• Alvernia's 4x100m team also set a new program record. The team of Jack Short, Elisah Jerome, Anthony Downs, and St. Pierre ran a 42.64 for the new record and a 3rd place finish.
• Alexander Witmer took seventh in the shot put with a mark of 14.13m. Witmer also posted a new personal record in the discus with a throw of 38.36m.
• Brandon VanSchaick took tenth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.37 seconds.
• Spencer Hahn posted a new personal record in the 1,500m with a time of 4:04.52.
• Jack Short ran a new personal record in the 200m with a time of 22.65 seconds.
• Elisiah Jerome ran a new personal record in the 400m with a time of 52.84 seconds.
• Ethan Darlington ran a new PR in the 5,000m with a time of 17:39.30. 
• Kerry Louis threw a new personal record in the shot put with a mark of 9.84m.

• Alvernia is at the Shippensburg Paul Kaiser Classic in its final competition before the MAC Championships on May 2-4.
