Eric Bonds was a four-time All-Pennsylvania Athletic Conference performer, making the Second Team as a freshman and sophomore in 2003 and ‘04 then First Team as a junior and senior in ‘05 and ‘06.  In the Crusaders’ record book, he is first in runs scored with 245, hits with 259, and triples with 17. He sits fifth in homeruns with 30, and sixth in batting average at .414 and RBIs with 155.  Bonds was ranked nationally in runs per game in every year of his career, serving as the NCAA leader in 2005 and 2006, averaging better than a run and a half per game both years. In his junior campaign, Bonds was also ranked 8th nationally in batting average, hitting .445, and 23rd in slugging percentage at a solid .743.

Upon graduation, Bonds pursued a career in baseball, signing with the Slippery Rock Sliders of the Frontier League. After a brief stint with the club, he tried out with various organizations but ultimately decided to move onto an academic career in forensic science. Bonds worked for a forensic pathologist performing autopsies and writing expert reports while becoming a Certified Medical Investigator with the Lancaster County Coroner’s office. Then, after exploring a career with the police, he decided to return to school, graduating from Arcadia’s graduate physician's assistant program in 2011.
