When Alvernia joined the Pennsylvania Athletic Confernece in 1992 it also became a member of the NCAA.  The ’95 baseball team was the first Alvernia team to qualify for NCAA postseason.  The team went 30-9 overall and 13-0 in the PAC.  It went 3-0 in the conference tournament with a win over Wesley in game one and two wins over Allentown College.  The team ran off a streak of 17 wins in 18 games in the middle of the season.
 
Hall of Famer P.J. Yoder led the team with a .456 batting average and Joe Walters smacked a team-high 11 home runs and drove in 54 runs.  Mike Pence had a team-high 65 and 2/3 innings and 8 wins and Randy Strausser had three saves.  Mike Carnes had a 2.87 ERA and Wade Miller finished the year with 77 strikeouts.
