Hall of Fame
Cristie Ansbach played basketball and ran cross country at Alvernia. She entered the Hall of Fame fourth on the career scoring list with 1,479 points. She was a two-time PAC Player of the Year (1997, 1998) and a two-time All-American.
As a freshman Ansbach was named the ECAC South Championship MVP leading the Crusaders to their first ECAC Championship. She holds the Alvernia career records for steals (385) and assists (653). She is second in both career free throw percentage (.775) and free throws made (410). She led the Crusaders to three straight 22-6 records and graduated as part of a class with the best four-year winning percentage (85-26, .776). She was the leader of the 1998 PAC Champions and her teams made three NCAA Tournament appearances (1996, 97, 98).
Ansbach was the 1996 Women's Cross Country Most Valuable Runner and was named First Team All-PAC in 1997.
