Hall of Fame
Mike Pence was a 4-year starter for the Crusaders. He remains second in career complete games with 12—behind only Hall of Famer Rolland Green. Pence is also in the top 10 in career starts and wins. He posted a 21-3 record in 24 starts and struck out 138 batters in 164 innings.
Pence earned the 1994 Alvernia Baseball Pitchers Award. He was named First Team All-Pennsylvania Athletic Conference First Team in 1995. That same year he was named the Alvernia Baseball Outstanding Pitcher the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Baseball MVP. He capped the year earning the Alvernia Male Athlete of the Year.
Pence and the Crusaders won three Pennsylvania Athletic Conference titles and made the school's first NCAA appearance in 1995. Pence earned a Bachelors of Arts in History in 1998.
