Alvernia University Athletics

Garret Etzel had a great career at Alvernia after transferring from Albright College as a sophomore. Etzel was a two-time All-PAC performer, was named PAC Player of the Year and earned NABC First Team All-Region honors as a senior. Over his 4-year career, Etzel was able to surpass the 1,000-point plateau. At Alvernia, he remains top 10 in 3s made and attempted, 3 point percentage, free throw percentage and steals.

After graduating in 2008 Etzel accepted a position at CNA Insurance as a Claims Specialist handling nursing home litigation. Last year Etzel returned to the court in his first year as varsity assistant coach for Wyomissing boy's basketball.
