Brandt was the first and likely only ever 4-year captain at Alvernia. As a member of the first women’s basketball team at Alverina she led the team in every statistical category except rebounding. At the time of her induction she ranked second all-time in career assists with 390.

Upon graduation in 1994 Brandt began working in the Admissions Office at Alvernia, a job that admittedly sparked her passion for Higher Education. After four years in admissions she completed her graduate work with a Master’s of Science in Higher Education from West Chester University in May of 2000.

Her career path took her to Harrisburg Area Community College from 1998 to 2001 where she wore many hats including those of the Learning Center Manager, Counselor, and Professor.

Brandt developed the desire to expand her knowledge and experience in Higher Education by getting a taste of the larger university environment. In 2001 she began working for the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, as an academic advisor. She stayed in Orlando until she completed her work there in 2004.

In 2004 she moved halfway back to Pennsylvania, taking a job at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, as an Assistant Director of Advising within the First Year College.

In July of 2009 she moved all the way back to Pennsylvania accepting a job at Lebanon Valley College as Assistant Dean of Advising and Student Success.
