Hall of Fame
Sara Paulson was a three-time All-PAC player. She was named to the First Team in 2003 and 2004, and Honorable Mention in 2002. She is the only player in school history to record 1,000 career kills and digs. She is second in career kills with 1,135 and third in digs with 1,090. She is in the top five in four other stat categories. She still holds the record for kills in both a three-game match—18 at Misericordia—and a four-game match with 37 vs King’s.
Following graduation, Sara returned to her hometown of Shamokin where she began substitute teaching and coaching her former high school team as an assistant to her father. She coached for three seasons after her father retired and in 2008 was hired as a first grade teacher in the Line Mountain District. She and her husband Mike—also a teacher—were married in May of 2009. They have three children, Raina and twins Nash and Nora.
