Mandy (Davis) McClune was a field hockey and softball student-athlete at Alvernia from 1993-96.  She was named the 1996 Alvernia Female Athlete of the Year.  She was a two-time All-Pennsylvania Athletic Conference First Team performer in softball, and was named to the NAIA District 19 Softball Second Team.  As a field hockey player, she earned the 1994 Defensive Player of the Year award.
 
McClune graduated from Alvernia in 1996 with an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
 
She continued to play softball competitively after college and was a pitching coach at Liberty High School in Bethlehem in 1997.  She took the job as the pitching coach at Penn State-Berks from 2000-2004 and took over as the head coach from 2005-2012.
