Yoder was named ECAC South Player of the Year in 1995. In 1993 he was NAIA District 19 and All-PAC First Team. In 1994 he was he earned his second All-PAC First Team honor, and followed that up in ’95 being named First Team ECAC South and All-PAC. His .422 career batting average and .517 on-base percentage are both second all time at Alvernia, and he has the third highest stolen base percentage with 37 steals in 40 attempts.
Yoder was drafted out of college by the New York Mets in the 26th round of the 1995 Amateur Draft. He played with the organization until March of ’97 then signed for one year with the Allentown Ambassadors of the Independent League. He followed that with 14 seasons in the Blue Mountain Adult League.
At the time of his induction his career top 10s included batting average (.422, 2nd), slugging percentage (.663, 9th), on-base percentage (.517, 2nd), and stolen base percentage (.925, 37-40, 3rd).
Yoder entered an Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program in Allentown in 2000 and completed the 5-year class study in ’05.
